You do not need to have an account and can pay with most credit or debit cards. Stripe is a safer, faster, more secure way to pay online – your financial details are never shared. For your security and peace-of-mind, Sovereign Self-Service do not hold any records or details of your credit or debit cards.

Advertising with Sovereign Self Service is not only effective but also cost-efficient. Our rates are hundreds of pounds cheaper than those of large online business-for-sale sites, giving you more value for your investment.

No, once your subscription is active, Sovereign’s in-house marketing team will contact you to gather information about your business and then craft a strong business listing which will be more likely to attract potential buyers. The wording we use in your listing greatly influences the impression buyers will have of your business.

Listings with comprehensive details are viewed by approximately 89% more potential buyers.

Here are the essential pieces of information you should provide our in-house marketing team:

  • Turnover and profit – ideally latest set of accounts
  • Images
  • Business description
  • Property information

We have many top positions with search engines including Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask & others for many keywords and phrases, this makes your listing easy to find throughout the UK.

All of this is available to you for £185 + VAT per month upon signup.

No, we do not charge a commission fee on top of our self-service subscriptions, however, if you ask Sovereign Business Transfer Limited to handle the sale for you, then this will be classed as an extra and will be an additional cost. This is referred to as a Managed Service.

With our Managed Service, you’ll have a dedicated Account Manager handling everything for you. We will act as your agent and handle communication with your buyer, solicitors, and landlords to finalise the sale. You’ll just need to keep up with your monthly subscription and sign a sole agency contract with us agreeing to a fixed agency fee, which will only be paid upon completion.

Certainly, you can do so by contacting us at amendmyadvert@sovereignbt.co.uk and we’ll promptly remove your advertisement at the conclusion of the 30-day subscription period, ensuring that all marketing material is taken down from our platforms.

When we receive an enquiry about your business, Sovereign will forward the info on to you directly. This will include the buyers’ contact information so you can reach out to them directly to discuss your business in more detail, answer any questions they may have and organise a viewing if required.

We have a large database of buyers looking to acquire businesses across all sectors. Your listing will be emailed to the relevant registered buyers as soon as we receive it.

Of course we can help. If you are unfamiliar with any of the terms, such as file types, cropping, image resolutions etc, which are used throughout the listing creation process, you can upload whatever you have, and your dedicated Account Manager will be more than happy to help. NB: all images must be in landcape format.

The “For Sale” boards are not part of our standard subscription package, but they can be provided for an extra fee. Please talk to your dedicated Account Manager about this option.

It’s important to note that they are not included in our standard subscription package. Video Tours require additional resources, such as specialised equipment, editing software, and dedicated time from our team to ensure they meet our high standards for excellence. These extra costs are not covered by the standard subscription fee. However, if you’re interested in adding Video Tours to your marketing strategy, we can provide you with a quote tailored to your specific needs. Your advertisement will renew automatically every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged via Stripe.

After reaching an agreement, a solicitor’s main task is to create the final sale and purchase contract. It’s crucial to hire a solicitor specialising in corporate law, especially in business transactions, to avoid costly mistakes, delays, and unnecessary stress that could potentially endanger your deal.

Additionally, a competent accountant can help with tax matters and prepare financial information and analysis for the sale, as well as assist with due diligence after the deal is agreed upon.
